William J. Levy, CPM-CEO
William J. Levy, CPM, has been in the field of property management for more than 30 years. His management portfolios have included as many as 100,000 leases and 75,000 beds in student housing communities all across the United States.
He has taught several different real estate subjects at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Department of Business Outreach and is a board member of the School of Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is also a popular instructor on the national faculty for the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He periodically offers professional certification courses for the Madison Apartment Association and the Wisconsin Board of Realtors and is a prominent lecturer for the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the Iowa Realtors Association and the Wisconsin Apartment Association.
William J. (Bill) Levy is currently the CEO of BMOC, Inc. a student housing management company he founded in Madison, Wisconsin in 1984. BMOC, Inc., assists small colleges, national fraternities, sororities, student coops, and private and foundation owned student-housing communities with planning and management for the whole spectrum of student housing related issues. Bill and his BMOC team have an excellent record of rescuing housing communities and organizations that are on the brink of financial ruin. His successes include the Phi Delta Gamma House in Madison, the only fraternity chapter house designed by renowned architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.
Bill started his career as an RA in a private hall owned by Northwest Mutual Life Insurance Company and operated by Allen and O’Hara. And rose to area manager. After A & O he moved to College Park Communities a subsidiary of GMH where he held several positions, rising to Senior Vice President. Immediately before devoting full time to BMOC, Inc., he was a principal and partner with Austin based Campus Advantage.
At one time or another in his is career Bill has worked with high rise, mixed use buildings, student garden style apartment communities, military housing, commercial investments and conventional apartments. His approach to real estate management insists on customer service while at the same time adding significant value to the properties. His “lifestyle” innovations have included the profitable introduction of food services, housekeeping, maintenance, fitness centers, tanning centers, indoor gyms and pools, masseuses, computer labs, curbside move-ins, and concierge services. Under Bill’s leadership, BMOC strives to bring the true meaning of “community” to its properties. Memberships and awards include the Chancellor’s Commission on Fraternities and Sororities and the Inter-Fraternity Alumni Council. He has a number of excellence recognition awards from IREM and was President of the Madison Chapter. He is the founder and owner of Senior Summer School, Inc., a summer travel and education program for senior citizens. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida where he also completed a graduate studies in consumer behavior.
