Sigma Alpha Epsilon: 627 N Lake
With its striking red brick and majestic white pillars, Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) at 627 N Lake is an architectural gem. This seven-story mansion, built in 1925, boasts the best location to campus, private beach, directly on the lake, private apartment style with full kitchens. Located on the shores of Lake Mendota, the house offers direct beach access, a private pier, and is even home to Lilly's on the Lake.
Completed in 1925 with a 1950 addition, this distinguished Colonial Revival / Georgian Revival style building was designed by the prominent firms Livermore and Samuelson and Law, Law & Potter.
Chartered at UW–Madison in 1903, SAE is dedicated to developing "true gentlemen." The fraternity focuses on core values of scholarship, friendship, leadership, and service, guiding members to become strong, ethical leaders.
Delta Upsilon: 644 N Frances
Delta Upsilon (DU) is housed in a beautiful, three-story building at 644 N Frances, directly on the lake with a spectacular view, built in 1912. The house is rich with historic charm, featuring stunning woodwork, hardwood floors, and soaring ceilings. Its prime location offers lake access, on-site parking, and a spacious basement.
Founded in 1885, the UW–Madison chapter of Delta Upsilon is committed to "building better men." They focus on four founding principles: the advancement of justice, the diffusion of liberal culture, the promotion of friendship, and the development of character.
Phi Gamma Delta: 16 Langdon
Nestled into the hillside of Lake Mendota, the Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) house at 16 Langdon is a masterpiece of design. Built in 1928, the house, rumored to have been designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, features a grand banquet room with a large backyard, a secret chapter room, and unique spiral staircases. It's a truly stunning house that provides an exceptional living experience.
Chartered at UW–Madison in 1893, FIJI's mission is to "develop men of character and build courageous leaders." This is achieved through their five core values: friendship, knowledge, service, morality, and excellence.
Chi Phi: 200 Langdon
With a perfect blend of historic charm and traditional fraternity feel, Chi Phi at 200 Langdon is a standout. The mansion's massive banquet room, with its interior balcony and striking woodwork, showcases the building's natural beauty. It's a place where tradition and community thrive, and a house where the Kappa Chapter of Chi Phi has a deep and enduring history.
Founded at UW–Madison in 1916, Chi Phi's mission is to "Build Better Men" through their core values of Truth, Honor, and Personal Integrity. The Kappa Chapter has a strong alumni association that has partnered with BMOC Inc. to ensure a professionally managed living experience that supports the chapter's traditions and future growth.

Located directly across the street from Camp Randall Stadium, the Pi Lambda Phi (PiLam) house at 132 N Breese offers an amazing location. Built in 1924, this historic mansion has a clean, updated interior while maintaining a traditional fraternity feel. This unorthodox location is perfect for students who attend classes in the mid-section of campus and love game days.
Chartered at UW–Madison in 1926, Pi Lambda Phi is committed to the "elimination of prejudice." The fraternity's five pillars of character, commitment, finance, leadership, and scholarship guide its members in becoming free and equal men who create opportunities for others.
Sigma Chi: 221 Langdon
Sigma Chi is proud to announce its return to campus in 2026 with one of the largest and most impressive fraternity houses on Langdon Street. Centrally located on Madison’s “Greek Row,” this landmark house spans four floors, including lofted apartments, and is designed to meet the diverse needs of our brotherhood.
The property offers fully apartment-style living, with units ranging from one to four bedrooms. The expansive chapter room is among the largest in Madison, while the backyard features a unique putting green for recreation and brotherhood bonding.
Architecturally striking, the house boasts Gotham-style pillars that welcome you into the life of a Sigma Chi brother. Inside, members enjoy modern amenities including underground parking, elevator service, meeting rooms on every floor, a game room, and a full dining hall.
Backed by a strong alumni association and a growing membership base, Sigma Chi is once again becoming a cornerstone of Greek life in Madison.
